TAS is East Yorkshire's biggest PR hitter

Beverley-based TAS Communications has been identified as East Yorkshire's biggest PR and advertising agency.

The Leeds Business School survey, published this week in association with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), was dominated by West Yorkshire companies. TAS, placed 19th, was the only East Yorkshire company to make the top 40.

TAS works with a range of businesses from household names such as E.On, BP and Philips, to SMEs and local authorities. As the survey illustrates, TAS has shown significant growth in the last year, with a total income of £1.6m, a 50% increase on the previous year. 50% of the TAS client base is in the public sector.

The company recently demonstrated its commitment to the region by investing over £3/4m in its new offices at Eastgate, a Grade II listed building in the centre of Beverley.

A programme of careful strategic planning has played a part in the TAS success story, along with a determination to increase sales and profit margins and changing perceptions for their many and varied clients.

TAS Marketing Director Andrew Acum said: "Our success has been built on careful strategic planning and making a difference for our clients – increasing sales and profit margins and changing perceptions."

Andrew explained that the team assembled by TAS enables the company to offer clients a full service of communications, stay ahead of the pack when it comes to delivering innovative campaigns and strategies and to forge a unique position for itself.

He added: "We are a very focused company and our high rank in the survey speaks volumes. We are the only marketing and PR consultancy in East Yorkshire to appear in a top 40 dominated by companies based in Leeds. We are delighted by the news and look forward to further success as we develop and grow in the future."

TAS has made a habit of winning awards since it was founded in 2003 and this latest accolade follows the agency's CIPR award as the best agency in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. TAS is also a previous winner of the Mail's Small Business of the Year award.
