Award-winning Yorkshire-based marketing and public relations consultancy TAS Communications Ltd will again provide a full range of communications services for Business Week 2008.
The company, based at Eastgate, Beverley, will also play a major role in the organisation of the high-profile business event, acting as a link and support for those running events during the five day extravaganza, as well as offering a one-stop shop for media enquiries.
TAS will produce a range of publicity materials for the event – including a comprehensive brochure for delegates - and have also designed and built the Business Week 2008 website. This is the second year running that TAS have enjoyed a high-profile relationship with the event, which attracts a host of leading public speakers as well as thousands of business delegates to a host of events taking place in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
TAS Managing Director Simon Taylor said: "We are proud to be able to provide such a wide range of services for Business Week 2008. This is the fourth event of its kind and, as an event that brings national and international attention to the region, it goes from strength-to-strength every year. In many ways we provide the gel that holds the event together, working very closely with the organisers and acting as a liaison between all of the partners involved while responding to requests from media partners.
"Our continuing involvement with Business Week is proof, if it were needed, that we are a company that can organise large, high profile events and also have the tools at our disposal to promote them extensively."
Public speakers already confirmed for Business Week 2008 include Sir Bob Geldof, Gordon Ramsay, Elle Macpherson and Miles Hilton-Barber. Events will include the popular two-day Chamber Expo, the Humber International Logistics Convention and the launch of the Humber Seafood Institute at Europarc in Grimsby. Geldof will appear exclusively in Hull while Ramsay will cook dinner for an invited audience of business delegates at the launch of the Bridlington Spa and Convention Centre before delivering a keynote speech. The week provides a host of networking opportunities and events for the business community across Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Business Week was established as an event in its own right four years ago. Previously, Paul Sewell had arranged with Mike Firth to bring the Harrogate Business Convention to a Hull, East Riding and Lincolnshire business audience via satellite link. This expanded into the now-established programme of business activities during the week and culminating in world-class speakers for the Friday Yorkshire International Business Convention.
