TAS Communications named as a finalist in The National Business Awards North East Region

13th April 2007

East-Yorkshire based TAS Communications has been named as a finalist in The National Business Awards North East Regional Programme. The company is one of only four finalists in The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award.

The news of this latest prestigious nomination follows significant awards success for TAS last year, including being named the best agency in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire at the 2006 CIPR Pride Awards and the Small Business of the Year at The Mail Business Awards 2006.

As a part of the final judging process, representatives of TAS will make a presentation to a panel on Friday 4 May, 2007, and the winner will be revealed at the north east and north west regional finals at the Palace Hotel, Manchester on Tuesday 10 July, 2007.

Simon Taylor, managing director of TAS Communications, commented: "To be counted amongst the region’s best small to medium sized businesses is an outstanding achievement for us at TAS Communications. After recently being voted best agency in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire by the CIPR, we are delighted to be shortlisted for The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award in our region.

"Our current position as one of the leading full service agencies is testament to the hard work of all of our employees. We have come a very long way from our beginnings as a two-man agency and to be shortlisted for this prestigious award is a great honour."

TAS Communications is due to move into its new, state-of-the-art headquarters in Spring 2007. Mr Taylor has commissioned a £500,000 project to transform a Grade II listed building in Eastgate, Beverley, into a 5,000 square foot office space which will see the company expand even further.

The aim of The National Business Awards, is to reward and recognise excellence, best practice and innovation throughout the UK business community.
