Marketing and PR agency's senior account manager in the running for top award at CIPR Pride awards

6th November 2007

A senior account manager from a leading East Yorkshire-based communications agency has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Kelly Todd, who is part of the award-winning team at TAS Communications, in Beverley, is one of five finalists for the Outstanding Young Communicator accolade at The Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Chartered Institute of Public Relations' (CIPR) PRide awards.

The winner will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony, due to be held at The Queens Hotel, in Leeds, tomorrow night (NOVEMBER 7).

TAS Communications – which delivers everything from public relations, multi-media services and event management to marketing services, web design and graphic design – swept the boards at the event last November, when the company won five awards and picked up the coveted Grand Prix award, given to the most outstanding agency overall.

Miss Todd, 22, a former Mail reporter, joined the company in February 2005 and manages a set of key private sector accounts. Last year, she was also responsible for running an integrated campaign, designed to raise residents' awareness of services provided by the London Borough of Brent Council. She said: "I was very pleased to be shortlisted for the Outstanding Young Communicator category. The CIPR PRide awards are renowned for recognising the industry's strongest campaigns and achievements, so it's a real honour to have reached this stage."
