TAS adds to its team of expert communicators

14th February 2008

The continued growth of Beverley-based TAS Communications has been given a further boost with the addition of two new key members of staff.

The company, identified as East Yorkshire’s biggest PR and advertising agency in a recent Leeds Business School survey, has appointed new Account Manager Laura Holmes and Web Designer Linze Holt. Both new team members have impressive backgrounds in their respective fields.

Holmes joins TAS from Humberside Police. As a Campaign Officer she carried out a range of crisis management duties and, in addition to dealing with day-to-day communications, played an integral role during major incidents for the busy force, covering the Hull city area from 2004-2007.

A graduate of the University of Iowa, Holmes, 25, from Brough, will bring a new range of skills to the TAS team. She said: “Crisis management is second nature to me and to date most of the work I have done has been in crisis communications. “Working at TAS is going to be very different and is a new challenge. I’ll be dealing with such a wide variety of clients and dealing with such a range of different things. I’m looking forward to this. “The main challenge is dealing with so many different clients and meeting their needs and expectations and providing a really good service.”

Holt, who joins TAS from 2heads Design, is an award-winning web designer. The University of Lincoln graduate bagged the Europrix UK prize for her interactive shockwave game Flight of the Felix, was a student category winner at the British Interactive Multimedia Awards (BIMA) 2005 for Virtual Garden and also a BIMA nominee in 2006.

Holt, 25, from Hull, said: “I am excited to be to joining the TAS team for a number of reasons. Firstly, I am moving into a well-established business with the drive to explore new areas of the industry. Secondly, I have been afforded the time and scope to learn and expand upon my skills to develop my creativity and productivity. Further to this, TAS Communications operates a professional, forward-thinking and work environment. “My role sees me receive my work from a senior designer, working closely with the graphics team and account handlers to bring the web-based product in line with any other design work completed by TAS Communications.”

TAS Managing Director Simon Taylor said: “We are delighted that these two very successful professionals have joined the team here at TAS. They offer yet another dimension to the services we offer to our growing client base of public and private sector clients. We employ the best people and the appointment of Laura and Linze is further proof of that commitment and both of them will play a major part in the success of TAS as we develop and grow in the future.”
